For over 28 years, Riptide Fishing Charters has been launching from the shores of Shelly Beach Sony Evans Small Craft Harbour, taking anglers, families, and adventurers out onto the deep blue waters of the South Coast. Over the years, we’ve shared countless unforgettable moments with our guests — from first-time anglers reeling in their very first catch, to groups of friends laughing their way through a full day at sea.
But Riptide is more than just a fishing boat - She’s part of the story.
Riptide was started by Ivan Fabricius, our first Skipper and Captain, who laid the foundation for what would become a true South Coast legend.
His eldest son, Ivan Jr., carried the tradition forward, followed by Andrew, who kept the adventures alive with his expert knowledge of the waters.
Today, Riptide sails under the command of his youngest son, Graham, whose decades of experience and over 28 years of fishing knowledge mean he’s bound to find the fish that bite.
Built for the ocean and shaped by years of experience on these waters, Riptide has become something of a legend along the coast — known for chasing sunrises, finding the fish, and turning ordinary days into unforgettable adventures.
